I love that you can read it piece by piece, and skip around to learn about all these fascinating people if you wish to do so. I read them all in order and didn't look at the table of contents at all so that I would be surprised by who was next. I really enjoyed reading these stories - many were rags to riches, but it was also great to see many who recognized that they came from prettyOne of the highly recommended books to read. This is a book of Essays the author put together. The writers of the essays are successful people in many areas of study. I enjoyed listening to the stories of the peoples upbringing and how their career paths deviated and got them to the place that they are today. If you are looking to find some key traits in successful people reading this book will give you some insight as they all seem to have common threads connecting them.

There are many books on vitality but this one is entirely different than all of the others. When you get to know crusades and the strong will of a person to stand again upon her feet when fallen, your own disgraces seem very insignificant. This book provides guidance for attitude before Getting There.
Very satisfying read about success, mentors and people from different disciplines looking to make a name for themselves. It is enlightening and relevant for all of those who are looking for information on self-improvement or may be stuck career-wise.
A very insightful book about some of the most influential people in this world. I loved that each story is from a completely different field, yet there are recurrent themes going through each of their lives. None of those people had a linear course in life - most of them experienced big losses and faced many doubts, and learned as they go. It's amazing to see how they all pushed through. This book definitely doesn't sugarcoat anything. I have learned quite a few things. Great book!
