This is not a quick easy read at 374 pages. This is a book you settle in with because you need to know what's going to happen next.Cassandra Wynstrom is special because if her ancestry. Her paternal grandparents tried to tell her father about Ayella and how she related to Cass, but he refuse to listen and moved away without telling his daughter any of his parents nonsense. The first few chapters had me confused, but that confusion also keep me reading. Things become clearer the further you go

Absolutely loved this book. M.C. Glan is an extraordinary story teller. I have read all three books in The Temple of Empia Saga series. All are fabulous, 5 star, must read novels.
The characters are strong and well-written, but this book has a ponderous first half. It starts to pick up around Chapter 17, when elements start coming together and the crux of the story begins to become clear, but it's still a long way to Chapter 76.
