Narrative In Pursuance Of Books Kingdom of Twilight (Avatars #3)
"Don't die," Gus whispered.He reached out and touched her hand. Were there superpowers that could bring her back? Would there be gods in Africa that could help them save her?
"I stayed alive when you ordered me to. Now you return the favor, okay? Just . . . whatever you do, don't die."
Ruthlessly stabbed by a fellow avatar, Diana suddenly finds herself hopelessly wandering through the underworlds, fighting her way past everything and anything vile, struggling to find a way back to life.
Up above, her fellow avatars--Gus, Kali, and Tigre--have set sail to Africa, hoping to find refuge and a healer to bring Diana back from death. Time is racing against the avatars, because once Diana reaches the Greek underworld, Hades, she is gone. Forever.
But that problem pales in comparison to the larger issue at hand--only one avatar can take back the power of the gods and live forever.
Beautifully weaving together myth and realism, Tui T. Sutherland delivers the breath-taking conclusion to a trilogy that places the fate of the world in the outcome of a battle between power-hungry pantheons of gods and four teen avatars.

Warning: you must read the first two in the trilogy before reading this one; it's not like some series where you can skip a book and it's like you missed nothing, this will get confusing, trust me. Anyway, I thought that this final addition to the avatar trilogy wasn't as fast-paced as the first two, but it was still good. Yet it did feel as though the author kind of crammed a bunch of new characters in at the last second, perhaps realizing the book was about to be finished. Getting overAbsolute enthralling, breathtaking conclusion to the Avatars series. Characters were well-built, with each of their own flaws and strengths (and not forgetting some superpowers there, huh?). Ending was what I'd think was a twist, sort of, but you'd have to read to find out!
I read this book during labor, and it got me all the way through active labor (which I rated as a 7 on the pain scale of 1-10) without the need for an epidural. The plot wasn't as exciting as the previous two books in the series, but there was still that driving need to see how it all ended. I had to stop for the birth, but I was back to reading it once I was tucked away in my hospital bed. Definitely an entertaining way to pass the time!

OMG I loved this book it was so great and Im so sad it's over it was a great series and it is sad to see it go. However it was open ended leaving it open for a new series with them. I did feel all the new characters were kinda blan but they didn't get three books for me to love them like I did Tigre and Kali. Diana I never liked, still don't. However, the parts with her going through the different underworlds were my favorites. Apart from Tigre's parts.
Okay, I know what youre thinking. Tui? What kind of name is that? Is it short for something?Nope. Among the many great things to come out of New Zealand (the Lord of the Rings movies, cats that paint, my mom) is a bird called the tuinot as well known as the kiwi, but a heck of a lot noisier!I was born July 31 (same birthday as Harry Potter!) in Caracas, Venezuela, and lived in Asuncion, Paraguay;
The last book in the Avatars series and absolutely wonderful. Ms. Sutherland has done an immense amount of research for her books. The work she up into them is amazing and the results are too. I love these books and highly recommend them for any lover of mythology.
so much .....imagination (: deff. a great read and a creative mind unique to JK Rowling's <3
