Chronicle In Pursuance Of Books Mrs. Jeffries on the Trail (Mrs. Jeffries #6)
Talk about cozy! The most suspenseful parts of the book are in the first and the last chapters, and are at an acceptable level of suspense and violence. But beyond all that, there's just so much sweet friendship, rivalry, and fun in these books. I particularly liked this one, because of the comments on equality and sufferage. Social commentary is welcome here. Socialism seen as dangerous, too. lol
A very enjoyable escape for a lazy day. I loved the humor, most of all. No belly laughs, but several chuckles. Happiness in a story told by an expert narrator, too.

I absolutely never get tired of reading the Mrs. Jeffries series of books. As you follow the clues they uncover, you begin to wonder just how she will let the Inspector know who did the deed without revealing the staffs involvement in the search. This book had an even further complication. I loved it.

Kinda Agatha Christie if you like that author you'll enjoy this one but I did not realise it was a series as it was an audio book. So I guess I've listened to the 6th one first 😊 I could not guess nor even had a hint of who did it until it was revealed near the end so well done!
Another fun romp for Mrs. Jeffries and all the gang. Fast moving, funny and easy to read, Ms. Brightwell has done it again. I highly recommend this series. These books are light reading and don't have to be read in order. No matter which book is chosen, a cozy fan can't go wrong!
It's a cracking adventure for Mrs Jeffries and her team of servants at Inspector Witherspoon's Upper Edmonton Garden household. Set during the time when Victorian suffragettes, miners and Irish nationlists marched through the streets of London demanding greater freedom, this murder mystery takes the servants of Scotland Yard's finest murder detective to Edgeware Road's mansions at one end of the investigation and to the poorest parts of London at the other.
