Representaion In Favor Of Books Nobody´s Children
An exciting story from the popular author of novels set in an African environment.Five children, but only one destiny. They have nobody, and Kenyan street-life is hard. Danger. Darkness. Drugs. Hunger. But there is still hope.
When David, John and Susanne are orphaned, they end up in the hands of their cruel uncle. The boys decide to run away, promising to return for their little sister. Unfortunately they have no idea what is about to happen to her. And their own wishes for a better life in Nairobi dissolve into thin air, as they find themselves pressured into becoming members of a gang of street children. But hope springs eternal...
Hana Hindráková creates characters that are not only memorable, but unforgettable. This author’s ability to give birth in print to living, breathing souls is exceptional. Nobody´s Children is a real page-turner.
The novel is based on the author’s thorough knowledge of various typical Kenyan environments. The reader gets to know, in a highly readable and exciting way, the reality of the various layers of current Kenyan society. It’s one of the few books that truly (albeit with authorial licence) explores the complexity of Kenyan society.

This is a nice story about 5 children in Africa. One of them is born in luxury, others are sleeping on the Streets. All of them feel unlucky as they feel they belong to nobody.First Joy is rich but her parents are arguing all the time. She feels she belongs to neither of her parents. The streetchildren are orphans who struggle to find a way to survive. When Joy adopts a street child whose mother died she becomes more separated from her own family. Belonging more and more to the other detachedA sad story of how people especially children who live in the third world. A glimpse into the crimes that fall upon them. The tragedies of survival, hope and fear. Nobody's Children will touch your heart and soul.
"Hope can always find a place" this book became one of the absolute favourites, it opened my eyes to most painful crimes in Kenya from circumcising girls to child rape and child abandonment . ofcourse those things happen all over the world, how traumatised kids can get and you can't expect a 2 or 7 year old to manage surviving on his own. Those who found hope and those who didn't. This one is a must-read.

Amazing book with very sad a hard story. This book is very readable and I highly recommend it.

It's an enchanting story. Reading this full of impressions and compelling novel is like reading a beautiful friendship and compassion between peoples from different backgrounds and classes. Its a perfect book to read in order to get a glance of street childrens livelihood. It also raises awareness on what is happening in our world and many countries and leave a mark in our mind to be more aware of them. Probably they are nearby our houses.[.]my full review:
