Bill C. Castengera writes satirical fiction with cerebral wit and sociological undertones.

The story is king. One of the things I did in my book, that I probably wont do in my next, is to break from traditional formatting. Make no mistake about itit was deliberate. I departed from traditional chapters and instead chose to relay the story in small chunks. There are well defined sections, but some sections are eight pages, and some are a simple paragraph or sentence.I did this for two reasons:ONE. My attention span is such that I must constantly keep the story moving. If I got bored

Castengera gets an A+ for originality! The creator as an alcoholic?? Who does that? Only Castengera in this page turning end of the world novel. This was a fun read with some of the most memorable characters I've encountered in a long time. I did find it hard to finish because the plot kept me captivated and wanting more. Definitely worth a sequel.

When I first picked up Shift! By Bill Castengera, I thought it was a very different book and that I didnt quite like it, and yet, I couldnt seem to put it down. It is different. I didnt put it down. If you pick up this book, I would suggest not putting it down either, because its worth finishing.
